- There is a fort in the townland of Collingsford. It is called a fort and it is in view of many other forts. There is a fence of bushes round the fort One one side of it there is an entrance. There is a story about a man who cut a bush in the fort. One day, long ago, a man was cutting fire-wood, and he cut a white-thorn bush in the fort.Every place he went to that day he saw a crowd of fairies dancing. It is not known who built the fort. The Danes were connected with them.
