  1. About four miles west of Killorglin there lies a little lake known as Loch na mBreach dearg. It is a great lake for fishing and it is often visited by tourists during the fishing season. The trout caught in this river are of a red colour.
    This lake got its name from a great battle that was fought there. It was fought by the Irish and the English. The commander of the Irish was known as Mc. Caura Mór.
