    These ploughs were made by the carpenter and the smith used put steel in front of them to prevent them from wearing. The people who had not horses used tie pigs or bullocks on to the ploughs. They used dig all the earth with spades, those who had not ploughs and make the ridges with the spades.
    The people who were living near the strand used manure the land with seaweed. They used draw the seaweed from the strand with donkeys or horses and hampers. One night there was a man going to Behenagh from the strand and when he was going up towards his own house the horse became frightened and the man was up on him. When he went to his own door it was closed and it was lucky for him because while the people inside were opening the door he was of the horse[?] As soon as the door was opened the horse leaped in to the house across the half door and if the man was up on the horse at that time he would be killed.
