  1. Inniscrone Castle.
    Inniscrone castle was the chief seat of the Kavanaghs and the ODowds also lived in it at one time. The Burke's of Ardnaree were constantly fighting with the O'Dowd's. They took Ardnaree from the O'Dowd's and also took Inniscrone Castle but this was recovered from them by O'Donnell O'Dowd who demolished it in 1512 lest it should again fall into his enemy's hands.
