  1. The Land League Hunt.
In olden times the Land-League started to help the tenant from the cruel Landlordism.
The people of this district had a Land-League Hunt in Kilelton, people came from North Kerry in great numbers, some on horseback, some walking, and some more with dogs.
All the hares and game that were preserved in the Hickey property, were hunted all through, this was to let the Landlord see that he had no more power over his Tenants.
This story was told to me by my mother:
    Kate O' Carroll, age [?]
    Kilelton,
    Ballylongford.
    Margaret O' Carroll
    Girls' School,
