  2. There was a wake long ago in Jooma. The man that was dead was a cripple and the men that laid him out let him stiffen. They the tried to straighten him so that he'd be got into the coffin. They strapped him on the kitchen table with ropes, but in the middle of the night when they were all taking tea, the ropes broke or some playboy cut them and the corpse leaped off the table into the middle of the people who were taking tea. Several women fainted with the fright.
