    put out and spread along the sod. Then a man coems and dig's a sod with a loy half way (on it) in on the manure. Sometimes the two sod's are turned before any manure is put on and a small piece is left in the middle. The manure is then put out and spread on it. The piece in the middle is dug and put in on the manure, the furrow is dug and the clay is put in in the ridge.
    Other times the land is cut and the manure is put out and spread. Two sod's are then turned on it. The furrow's are scored and the mould is shoveled in to the vacant places. The potatoes are set
