    Well he put in an advertisement once, and at last he got an answer to it. Then he kept on writing to this one, and arranged to meet her at some Hotel. He had some sort of a little box that he used to carry with him, and it was like worked by electricity; and when he got anyone he would pitch them into this, and they could not be heard
