    There young men promised to do so. Lord Leitrim had summoned a police meeting beside the Foyle at a place known as Killadoomy, Milford, Donegal.
    The young men hearing this sent word secretly, to one of the maids at the castle in Rinn inquiring as to what he should be leaving there.
    Having got the word they sent a message to an old Fenian who was a blacksmith to shoe the horse in such a way as he would be forced to go lame.
    When Lord Leitrim had journeyed a good distance the horse became very lame. He was then forced to go on a lighter car as he always liked to be at meeting
