(continued from previous page)in it he heard great noise he took notice of it and it was there every night. After about a month the man got afraid and he left it two men heard this and they had a bet. One man betted a pound that if they went into the house after twelve o'clock they would see fairies and the other man betted a pound that they would see no fairies. The two men appointed a night to go into the house. The two men left the money in another man's house. After being for a bit in the house one of the men fell asleep and the other walked away and went into the house where the money was and said he won the bet.
