    also. When soot starts falling down out of the chimney it is another sign of rain.
    Hens give signs also about the weather, if hens are picking themselves that is a sure sign of rain and it they start nesting in a ditch it is a sign of good weather.
    The old people say that if the wind is coming from the North it is a sign of dry weather and if it is coming from the South West is it a sign of the wet weather.
    The moon gives more signs also about the weather. It is said that if the moon is seen soon after it comes, it is a sign of bad weather too and also if it appears to be sitting on its back it is another sing go bad weather. If it appears to be red when it is rising it is the sign of frost
