    If the seagulls are flying about the is going to be rain, or if the fly near the water of the lake.
    If the swallows fly low or the are on the wire(?) it is a sign of bad weather, if they fly high it is a sign of good weather.
    If the crows fly high it is a sign of good weather, or if the crows come home early or fly low it is a sign of bad weather.
    If the magpies gather together on one bush it is a sign of storm.
    If the blackbirds collect in the hedges together it is a sign of snow.
    If the robins come about the doors it is a sign of snow. If the wild geese make much noise it is a sign of storm.
    If the curlews call very much on a bright night it is a sign of rain.
    When the crane goes up the river it is a sign of good weather, and when she comes down the river it is a sign of rain.
    When the cock crows on a wet day it is a sign that the day is going to clear.
