- An old prayer.
I got this prayer from my mother and she said she got it from her grandmother.
There are four corners on my bed and four angels over head. Saint Matthew, Saint Luke, Saint Mark and St. John God bless this bed that I lie on. And if I die before I waken I give my soul to God to keep. God be my guide and mary be my flower and God be my guide at my last dying hour.
This is to be said when you go into bed and it is said it was made by a man one night there was big wind and he thought the house would be blown up.By Kathleen A. McPartlin Meenymore N.S.- Collector
