They had a little boat made out of the trunk of a big tree (About twenty years ago some men cutting turf in the bog dug up the boat.) The robbers used the boat for crossing the lake to the island.
The robbers used to go out through the country and rob the people. They used to rob travellers and coaches and they brought the money and valuables home to the island. They hid all on the island. In the end the robbers were killed in a fight but the treasure was never discovered.
