Johnny Ireland was the name of a tramp and he had a red stick and he was always praising Ireland. he was wlcomed to my house because he was always telling stories and he had the news of the whole country. Anothe tramps name was "Going Late" everyone he would meet late or early he would say its going late. He was gathering rags and and papers. John Le(?) was very cross and when the people would ask him had he any news he would say ye will get the news of the world for a penny.
    The Commonest names of tinckers are Sweeneys of Whites. They were tin smiths they made cans and saucepans and went around selling them to the people.
