As an Irish boy was leaving, Leaving his native home,

    (continued from previous page)
    III
And as the years grow yonder thon
    I'll settle down in life,
I'll choose q nice young Irish girl
And I'll take her to be my wife
And as the kids grow older
They will play around my house,
And I'll teach them the same lesson,
That my mother taught to me,
    IV
A mothers love is a blessing
    No matter where you roam,
Keep her while she is living,
You will miss her when she is gone,
    Love her as in childhood,
    Though feeble old and grey,
You will never miss a mothers love
Till she is buried in the clay.
