One Winters evening a man named Michael Fahy was passing Kilrickle Church and he said he would go in to say his prayers.

One Winters evening a man named Michael Fahy was passing Kilrickle Church and he said he he would go in to say his prayers. He wasn't long inside when one of the priests clerks locked the door and the man had to stay inside for the night. At twelve o' clock the sacristy door opened and a priest came out and went from the altar to the door crying "is there anyone here to serve mass". The man answered yes. Then the priest told him to serve mass and when he had finished he said to him that he was one hundred years waiting for someone to serve mass and got no one until you came and that you saved me from remaining here any longer.
