  2. One time there was a woman and she had a child. One night the fairies came and took the child away. They left a fairy child instead of the woman's child. The woman was ignorant of this.
    A thatcher was thatching and the woman went to the well leaving the baby in an old-fashioned cradle. He was now five or six years old, but was unable to walk. The woman gave him a piece of straw, from which he played lovely music. The thatcher said that the child must not be a natural one. He advised the
