  1. A Bad Spirit.
John Langan of Mirehill was going home from fowling one evening at dusk, and he had two dogs with him. There was a pig behind him an ordinary pig, but when the dogs saw him they got very frightened, and when John Langan went in home, the dogs wanted to go in after him, but he thought they would go in their kennels. The pig stayed at the gate of the boreen leading into his house, but when he got up next morning the two dogs were dead.
