  1. The Potato Crop.
    I am a small farmer. We put in two acres of land under potatoes each year. Its according to the weather and the land. if it's a very wet season or low lying land thats not properly drained we haven't so good a crop.
    Father prepares the land Sometimes if we have plenty of manure we spread some on the land before turning up and sometimes we cart clay and sand to the fields.
    The potatoes are sown in drills. We turn up the land with a plough
