None of the churchyards is round in shape, they are rectangular. There are churches in three of them and a ruined one in the Greenhill church.
The churchyard in Cockhill is divided into two pars by a road running north and south and the portion of the churchyard to the west is level, but the portion to the east slopes towards the east. The churchyard of Buncrana is rectangular and slopes for a short distance towards the west and then it is level.
