    night this bridge was lifted. It was lifted at ten o'clock, and the Dunree soldiers had to be all inside the bounds before that time.
    There was approximately one hundred men employed at the building of the new Fort in 1894, and they were also drawing sand and gravel from Port Ban Bay to build huts and rooms for the British soldiers.
