    market in Derry he sold his butter, and threw the large stone a few yards from him
    Soon a policeman came along and inquired who left the large stone there. The man told the policeman that it was he. He was told to lift the stone at once and remove it from the market.
    He tried to leave down the stone, when going down the Strand, but a policeman always happened to be near, and ordered him to lift the stone.
    Finally he reached Pennyburn before he got leave to drop the stone.
    He always saw after that that he balanced his butter on one side of the horse by a similar butt on the other and not by a stone. He was taught a useful lesson.
