    Two suits of black clothes Dan procured for the tinkers,
    And told them their budgets they should lay aside;
    With gloves of green chamois their black hands to cover,
    And tools in their trunk that were both large and wide.
    ‘Twas early next morning the writer conveyed
    Their tools and their budgets unto the same inn;
    The landlord he smiled and he welcomed them hearty,
    And spared neither pudding, spict, porter nor gin.
    In his grand apartment they took up their lodgings,
    Provisions being plenty, they locked themselves in;
    And after a day they unpacked their budgets,
    And “Hammer and tongs” at work they begin.
    In a moment the Landlord he summoned the waiter
    Who, frightened, nigh naked, clean jumped out of bed;
