  1. Games I Play
Marbles are played nearly in every part of Ireland. I like playing marbles very well. Marbles are played different ways in different parts of the country. This is how I play them. A hole is made in the ground. Then two or three boys stand away from four or five yards from the hole. They pick up the marbles and whoever gets the most marbles in the hole takes all the marbles and pitches them up to the hole at any marble that is not in he knuckles it in with his finger or thumb and if he misses any of them, the next boy tries his hand at them, and so on until the marbles are won. I also play tig, chestnuts and hide and seek.
