  1. There were Landlords around here long ago. One in Ards and one in Horn-head. Both had the name of Stewart. The people had to pay rents to the Landlords. If some people went on too long without paying the rents that they were put out of their homes. The Landlords would give them so many years’ rent and let them go wherever they liked. Some went to America. The landlords took over their lands again and gave them to someone else.
