  1. There is a road in this district known as the old Letterkenny road. It leads from Letterkenny to Raphoe and then on the Castlefin. This road was made a long time ago. It was marked out by light from the hill tops. It is a very hilly road.
There are a lot of old lanes in this district but they are not very often used. There is another road a little farther than half way between Letterkenny and Raphoe which runs through upper Glenmaquin or the Hightown. It was made about eighty years ago. This road leads from the old Letterkenny road to Convoy. Some parts of this road there are no ditches on.
This school is built on the cross roads between Letterkenny and Raphoe and it is customary for the boys of this district to gather at the cross roads in the Summer Evenings.
