  1. We nearly always keep pigs. When we sell on set we buy bonhams. So we are never without them. We sell about three sets in the year - one in February, another around June, and the hird about November.
    We have three pigs presently. We bought them as bonhams some two months ago at the fair of Crossmolina for about £1.3s.0d. each. When we got them first we fed them on potatoes, meal and milk. Later on as they began to get big we gave them stronger feeding, and added some boiled turnips to the potatoes. We rung them also for to keep them quiet.
    The house in which they are in is called the pigs sty. It is a stone building, with a thatched roof, and a flagged floor. One part
