    The people of the house never got any rest during this time. So they sold the place and started off to America. They took a house there and one of the party said "Thank God, we are rid of Stumpy"! that was the name the old pedlar got because he had no legs. But Stumpy shouted from the roof of this house and said "Yous are not rid of Stumpy yet, for here I am again". And the people never got any rest until the last one of the family died.
