   This is an immense stone which is in a grazing field called the “Deer Park on the estate of Captain J. S. Hamilton Esq. Brownhall, Ballintra. This stone is to be seen in this field between Captain Hamilton’s residence and Ballintra. Old people say that this stone was carried some distance by a giant and dropped in this field. When he was letting it fall he named it “A Wishing Stone of Marriage.” A person going there to wish must wish some distance away from the stone. While the person is wishing he or she must be blindfolded and have his arm
