    Donnybrook was called by the English at the time of King John 'Deuenachbrock'.

    All the material in this book was collected by children of twelve to fifteen years of age, from their fathers or mothers. As these parents came to Donnybrook from rural areas, the value of the matter as folklore is not very high.
