- Birds that are common to this district are rooks crows and magpies.
Birds that migrate in this district are the corncrake, cuckoo tom-tit, sparrow, yellow hammer and finches.
The corncrake builds her nest on the ground. The cuckoo in the tree-tops, The robin builds her nest in bushes and sparrows under a roof.
Every bird builds her nest in different ways and in different places, all birds have different coloured eggs.
When we hear the curlew calling at night and flying inland it is a sign of bad weather.
The weather can be judged by swallows flying either low or high when a swallow flies low it is going to rain when they fly high it will be fine weather
