    by the event of love-knot and wreaths of roses, fondly entwined about the sign and precincts, there was no lack.
    Entering the demesne by the adjoining gate, a few paces bring the visitor in full view of the family mansion. Built partly of granite and common stone, its architecture is of a plain, substantial and unpretending style, presenting a square front with a somewhat sombre aspect.
    To the erection of this house an illusion is made by Dr.Samuel Johnson, in his correspondence with Delaney. The grounds, within the walls, undulating and tastefully ornamented, are highly picturesque; and the Liffey presenting here the
