  1. A shipwreck is a very sad happening. It is really a struggle between death and life. There was a shipwreck in Tramore about one hundred and twenty years ago. Tramore is a maritime town, and has a strand three miles long which is surrounded by rocks the mariners enemy. At noon February 2nd, 1816 a ship called the Sea-Horse was wrecked in Tramore. Two hundred and ninety two men and seventy-two women and children were drowned. There is a monument in Tramore in memory of the event.
