  1. There are three holy wells in this parish of Crossmolina, Co. Mayo. There is one in Killeen, Crossmolina, Co. Mayo, it was first in Errew Crossmolina. There was a man who had a horse with some kind of bad feel and he used to walk the horse within in the well thinking to cure him.
    At last he was told to quit it but he paid no heed, an din the morning it had changed from Errew to Killeen, and nobody could know where the well was only for the bush that was growing in it was left behind.
