    because they had no money to pay the rents. He gave some of the people land up in Cloughans instead of the Cloontally land because he liked Cloontally very much. Before he died he ordered that he be buried on top of a hill in Cloontally. When these people had gone he appointed Michael Reape's grandfather caretaker of Cloontally and the Moyletts caretakers of Cloonacauna.
    The man who was caretaker of Cappanaglough first was a man named FitzPatrick but when he died Dominick Madden was made caretaker. There are no ruins of those Cloontally houses left because the stones were used for building walls which are there yet.
