  1. Long years ago there was a man coming from Foxford at a very late hour. When he was passing Drummund Woood he saw a sow and a litter [?] of pigs. He got afraid at first and he stood to see if she would keep in out of the road. But to his surprise she stood where she was and never moved from the middle of the road. The man went to pass her out but got a sudden disappointment. She disappeared and it is said, “if you pass there at the dead hour of night”, you will see her and the pigs.
