There are ten houses containing forty people. It was a great place for rearing game-cocks. There is only one woman over seventy in this townland. Mrs P Marren is her name. She is not very good at story telling, she can speak Irish. There were many more houses but there are only ruins of them to be seen at present. There is no employment in the townland for girls or boys, and when they grow up they have to go to England to earn a living for themselves. Formerly they went to America.
