    May Eve.
    On May Eve the people used to collect various herbs which they pounded together. This was rubbed on the milch- cows.
    Another custom was to get up on May morning before sunrise and wash their faces in the dew. This was to prevent sunburn.
    Christmas night.
    On Christmas Eve the Virgin Mary was supposed to go round with the Infant Jesus. The people
