  1. The days for cures were Mondays and Thursdays. The cure for boils and ringworms were to go to a place where three different waters meet and apply the water to the afflicted part for fifteen times before sunrise and after sunset.
    On the first day of May people would not give out milk for they believed if they gave out milk the one they gave it to would bring the milk and butter for the coming year.
    On New year's day people would not put out ashes, or dirt, or throw out water.
