  1. 50. The oldest tombstones in the Killeen - the local graveyard are of the horizontal type and the inscriptions are undecipherable. In Kilmolara graveyard which is the burial place for many families in the parish there is a tombstone over the grave of a former parish priest. The inscription on this stone reads as follows:
    Miserere Domine. Sacunsum Magnum Misericirdiam Tuam.
    Animae Reverendic Thomae McCormac
    Parocji Kilmolara at Ballinchollae
    Qui Annis Meritisque Planus
    Abdormivit in Domens
    Ire [?] Vigessima Secunda Septembris
    Anna Salutis 1839
    Anno Aetatis suac 71
    Et ministrutionis sude sacrae 45
    In memoriam ejus
    Monumentum Hoc [?] Fecit
    Reverendus Joannes O'Malley
    Vicarius Cong eb Neale
    A.D. 1896.
