The women wore a border cap, a green mantle, a linen cape, a pair of troighins and low shoes.I found a tallon iron at home. A tallon iron was an iron used for piping the old womens' caps. This is a picture of a tallon iron. There was an iron that reddened in the fire, and on the end of the iron was a wooden handle and when the iron would be red it would be put into the hole that is in the top of the iron.
