    the men wore a high hate, a shallow tail frize coat, a linen shirt, a knee breeches, a bainín, long stockings made from wool and low shoes

    The women wore a border cap, a green mantle, a linen cape, a pair of troighins and low shoes.
    I found a tallon iron at home. A tallon iron was an iron used for piping the old womens' caps. This is a picture of a tallon iron. There was an iron that reddened in the fire, and on the end of the iron was a wooden handle and when the iron would be red it would be put into the hole that is in the top of the iron. The frill of the cap would be starched, then pressed
