Resin slats were made, about thirty years ago, from resin melted in a small oval pan with three legs. When the resin was melted a certain kind of cotton, bought for the purpose, was dipped in the melted resin and left to dry. This was done several times until the candle was about an inch in diameter. Another, called a tallow candle, was made from cows fat melted in a trough. Then the cotton was dipped into the melted fat and lifted out and dried. This was done two or more times until the candle was a certain thickness. Basket Making Baskets were made from sally rods cut, peeled and seasoned. Then a thick sally-rod was made into a circular shape and tied. Other rods were bent in semi-circles and pushed down until the two ends were level with the rim of the circle. Next theAn Dothra Bheag
