There is a stream flowing from a bog called Poll a' Gé into the Doonbeg River and it is called the Gaorthadh. It drains the water of a bog called the Isle Bog. There is another bog called the Comán. There is a big Slogaire near it and it is called the Mire or the Muing. There is a big hill of turf in a place where a lake was long ago. It is called the Mútóg. The lake was called Loch na bhFear nGorm before it dried. There is a field south of our house and it is called the Furze Field. North of that field is the Triangle Field, and south of that field again is the Car-road Field. West of that field again is the Rushy Field. South-east of that field again is the Garden Field, and the last field is the Mac. Tomás Ó Catháin, SraithAn Dothra Bheag
