Once upon a time there was a man and his name was John Murphy, and the people used to make a fool of him about money. One night he and some other fellows started off to dig for treasure. Some others and the fellows that were with him had it planned what they were to do. So John and some others went off where they made out that the money was. The others got chains and sulphur and went off by themselves, and when they came to the field they began to rattle the chains and the light the sulphur and let on they were spitting it out of their mouths.
