There was once a man who had a dispute with a priest on account of a seat. This man wanted some particular seat in the church. The priest would not give him his wish. The man said he would never go to Mass again until he would get the seat. He ceased going to Mass. One night he dreamt he was involved in a serious accident in which he was seriously injured and he thought he was going to die. He was very annoyed when he awoke and from that day forward he went to Mass and to the Sacraments frequently. There was an old woman living in the district in olden times. Her name was Biddy O'Brien. She was noted for her piety but some people said she was nearly mad. She used go to Mass on Sunday, and the moment she entered the Church door she knelt down on her knees and prayed aloud.
