He composed songs about many of the local happenings His best attempt was one praising Larry Connors who was at one time known to be the best long distance runner & walker in Ireland. Larry was a native of Lukeswell & a neighbour of Anderson. Note. Nellie Hennebry also has in her collection a poem which appeared in "The Munster Express".
