night. This was the Lookery-man that was on the Rasan. The man could not get across the stile and he cut the ghosts head off with the scythe. When the ghost fell the man went home. He did not tell anyone about his killing the ghost. On the following morning when he was going to work the ground was red with blood and he saw the grave in which the ghost was buried. The field belongs to Andrew Woods. About two years ago the man that owns the field was ploughing in it. There was a headstone on this grave. The man lifted the stone. The old people say that it is unlucky to interfere with old loan-bushes or old head stones. They say that these were marks left from the time of the fairies. These people were warned not to lift this stone. They would not believe in fairies and as soon as they lifted the stone a strange thing happened to the horses. The horses fell and they were unable to rise. The men left back the stone and the horses got better again.Conchúr Mag EacháinMichelle DunneIn the townland of Fincarn there is a field called the Páirc Mhuiris.
