Shops were not plenty in the place long ago. Goods were sold after Mass near the Church. money was not plenty in the place. People used to use a little money in olden times. Goods were exchanged for goods long ago. The people were very glad to get goods for a day's work. People thought it was unlucky to transact money affairs on Mondays, and on the first Monday of the New Year.
