The following story was told to me by my father Michael Mac Manus, Murhaun, Drumshanbo. Hussian was a man living in the townland of Murhaun and he was about seven feet six and was known to be very handy for taking his neighbours property. The law in those times was different to the law of the present day. theft during that time was very common and when any damage was done the law was that the people living in the neighbouring townlands would have to make a prisoner of the thief. This man was such a pugilist that it took several men to make a prisoner of him. Being surrounded he made for Lough Allen and went to his neck in the water and no men was able to approach him or he wouldRhiannon
